‘Antimeta’ is the second EP from Devon-based, London-born producer T Goldsmith and hopefully marks the beginning of a hyper-productive period. Whereas his first release was half a decade in the making, this one popped out quickly over a few months. Compared to the smorgasbord of tracks on his debut ‘Dropouts’, the new EP is more tightly focussed, yet still rudely playful, combining classic jungle / drum and bass textures and tempos with penetrating basslines and floating ambient textures.

A former analogue obsessive and member of medieval psych folk band Circulus, Goldsmith continues to take retro futurism to its logical conclusion using strictly pre-internet technology in a studio setup that could easily have existed around the turn of the millennium. ‘Antimeta’ comes from an exciting time in the recent past of a parallel universe.
